I. Increase the Thickness of Walls and Back Slope to Enhance Insulation Performance
The heat storage surface of a greenhouse includes three walls, a back slope, and the ground. When vegetable plants completely shade the ground, the walls and back slope become the main heat-receiving surfaces.

Increasing the thickness of the walls and back slope is primarily to increase their heat storage capacity, and of course, their role in cold protection and insulation is also considered. The ability to store and retain heat is crucial to the success of greenhouse production in winter.
II. Build Semi-Underground Beds to Facilitate Soil Temperature Increase
If building an earthen wall Greenhouse, some soil from the south side of the walls can be pushed onto the walls and compacted with a bulldozer. Then, the inner walls should be straightened and leveled.
Because the walls require more soil, the indoor bed surface should be 30-40 cm lower than the outdoor ground level. Although the semi-underground bed surface provides some shading on the south side,
the indoor bed surface is lower than the outdoor surface, preventing the indoor soil temperature from dropping too quickly and providing better insulation.
This is an important reason why low-ridge cultivation in greenhouses during winter can increase production and income.
