Commercial Greenhouse are greenhouses with a glass roof, commonly available in single-layer and double-layer configurations. Common spans are 9.6 meters (3.2*3 pointed roof), 10.8 meters (3.6*3 pointed roof), and 12 meters (4*3 pointed roof), with side heights ranging from 4 to 7 meters.
Greenhouse structures are mostly pointed roofs, primarily Venlo and large pointed roof types. Gear and rack motor-driven ventilation systems can be used on the top and sides of the greenhouse. Various facilities and equipment, such as water curtain fans for cooling, internal shading, internal insulation, heating, supplemental lighting, movable seedbeds, and movable sprinkler irrigation, are available to meet diverse customer needs.
When designing the greenhouse foundation, strength requirements must be met first, followed by sufficient stability and resistance to uneven settlement.
The foundation connected to the inter-column supports should also have sufficient capacity to transfer horizontal forces and provide spatial stability.
The bottom of the greenhouse should be below the frost line. For heated greenhouses, the impact of heating on the foundation's frost depth should be considered based on climate and soil conditions.
