Trenching for Greenhouse greenhouse construction is similar to laying the foundation for a house. It involves deeply excavating the soil at the wall location before digging the walls, repeatedly compacting it with a tracked machine, and then building the walls on top. Many farmers, in an effort to save money, often choose not to trench and directly dig the walls when building new greenhouses.

This is actually a short-sighted approach that can lead to serious problems later on, such as wall collapse. Modern greenhouse walls are typically around 4 meters high. If trenching isn't done beforehand to solidify the foundation, the greenhouse is likely to experience settlement and shifting after construction, compromising its stability and significantly impacting its lifespan. Wall collapse is a common occurrence in production.
Therefore, never sacrifice the safety of the entire greenhouse to save a little money before digging the walls. For example, building a 70-meter-long and 12-meter-wide greenhouse currently costs over 5,000 yuan just for wall excavation, while trenching costs less than 1,000 yuan.
If trenches aren't dug when building a new greenhouse, and the greenhouse collapses later when the vegetables are fruiting, it's a classic case of "penny wise, pound foolish"—a huge loss. After the Greenhouse (Earth Vegetable) walls are compacted in stages, a final layer of soil is used to seal the top. This final layer should be about 40 cm thick (using a mixture of lime and soil; typically 30 bags of lime are used per greenhouse). Then, the soil is compacted twice with a machine to ensure the upper part of the wall is firmly packed. The sides of the wall should also be compacted with tools to prevent collapse due to excessive weight during later construction.
To further strengthen the Hydroponic Greenhouse rear slope, it's recommended to add a steel pipe along the east and west sides. This pipe should be placed in the middle of the rear wall support pillars and connected to the rear wall using angle iron or semi-circular steel pipes. For added stability, the added steel pipe can be welded to the east-west steel beams of the greenhouse in one continuous line, connecting it to the main beam steel pipe.
Then, the bamboo support is placed on the additional steel beam and tied with wire to prevent it from sinking or loosening due to the previous double steel wires clamping the bamboo poles. Later, even when people step on the back slope or the rolling shutter machine is placed behind the slope, the additional steel beam will not sink. This not only extends the service life of the additional steel beam but also makes the back slope more stable.
