In late spring, the countryside of Nanchuan is bustling with vibrant construction activity. The crayfish greenhouse construction project undertaken by Chongqing Qingcheng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Qingcheng Agriculture") is currently progressing steadily. Cranes lift and lower loads as batches of pre-formed, hot-dip galvanized elliptical greenhouse pipes are systematically loaded onto trucks; on-site personnel work in coordination to meticulously bundle the steel frames and secure protective elements. These greenhouse framework components are destined for the project site to support the construction of a local crayfish farming base. Neatly stacked galvanized pipes and arch-shaped steel frames taking shape in the fields paint a picture of a thriving, distinctive rural aquaculture industry.

With nearly a decade of experience in modern agriculture, Qingcheng Agriculture has long focused on innovating breeding and farming models for specialty aquatic products, continuously exploring modernization solutions tailored to local conditions. As the rural revitalization strategy advances, specialty aquaculture has become a key pathway for increasing local farmers' incomes. Leveraging Nanchuan’s specific soil and climatic conditions, the company launched this standardized crayfish greenhouse project. By utilizing facility agriculture to upgrade traditional open-air farming methods and creating a controlled environment, the project effectively mitigates risks associated with weather fluctuations and extreme temperatures, thereby boosting crayfish production capacity and survival rates.


This project utilizes hot-dip galvanized elliptical pipes as the primary structural material for the greenhouses. Compared to standard piping, elliptical pipes offer superior load-bearing capacity and toughness; the hot-dip galvanizing process significantly enhances rust and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability in the humid environment of the paddy fields. The standardized, pre-bent arched pipes and matching structural components allow for convenient on-site assembly, enabling rapid construction of the greenhouse framework. Once completed, the enclosed greenhouse structure allows for the artificial regulation of temperature and humidity, creating a stable and optimal growth environment for the crayfish, extending the farming cycle, and ultimately enhancing the quality and efficiency of aquaculture production.

Meticulous control is implemented at every stage—from the custom fabrication and transport of piping materials to on-site assembly in the fields. During the project's preliminary phase, the technical team conducted on-site surveys of the Nanchuan farming plots, planning the greenhouse layout based on the paddy field's terrain and drainage conditions. Production teams precisely fabricated and pre-bent the piping to match site dimensions, thereby minimizing the need for secondary processing on-site. During transport, staff securely bundled the steel frames to prevent damage or deformation from bumps along the way. Upon arrival, construction crews systematically assembled the frames and secured the foundations, steadily advancing the construction of the greenhouse structures. This rigorous, end-to-end management ensures the high-standard implementation of the aquaculture facilities.

Upgrading facilities is a key driver in the transformation and modernization of aquaculture. Traditional open-air crayfish farming is vulnerable to natural conditions such as rainfall and temperature extremes, leading to significant yield fluctuations. The greenhouse farming structures developed by Qingcheng Agriculture create a protected environment for cultivation; these not only shield the stock from heavy rains and cold snaps but also facilitate water quality management and disease control, shifting crayfish farming from a practice dependent on the whims of nature to a standardized, controllable operation.
